I downloaded the free version of Everest, and I noticed that the CPU multiplier keeps jumping from 7x to 11.5x. Is this normal?
Also in my bios I had to force my pc6400 ram to run in 800mhz or whatever, but in everest it still registers as running at ddr2 400. It was noticeably faster though when I forced the ram to ddr2 800.
oh i've also been noticing that windows has been locking up and freezing much more often then it ever has (it used to never freeze). Now sometimes it takes 10 seconds to shut down, and others it takes 40...
specs:
Core 2 Duo e6600 @ stock (too scared to overclock)
ATI x1900xt
ASUS p5w DH Delux
Creative X-FI sound card
that's all that really matters.
