My CPU temp is always above 80 degrees,
I have a Thermaltake similar to the golden orb, its looks like a copper bowl with a fan in it. I never have had it run this hot, and my pc keeps crashing.
If anyone can recommend a really good heatsink as well.
Thanks

80*F? If so thats cool imo. 80*C, reapply the heatsink with as5. And to recommend a HS we'll need to know what socket youre using.

If you mean 80C, then my first guess would be that your heatsink is not mounted flush on the CPU heat spreader - tilted - contacting only one edge of the heatsink. It's really quite easy to screw this up.

Pull the board and inspect the CPU/Heatsink mating carefully.

Hope this helps!

Thanks guys,
I removed the heatsink and there was almost no thermalpaste what-so-ever left on the CPU and the Heatsink. Adding new paste and re-attaching brought it back down to around 55 Celsius.
