CPU + Mobo upgrade

So I'm thinking about upgrading my motherboard and CPU soon. I can't really ask for a specific CPU recommendation, because I might end up buying some used unit, but I'd like to know what chipset I should go for. 1150?

MOBO: Gigabyte GA-b75m-d2v,
CPU: Intel i3-3220,
GPU: GTX 960,
PSU: SeaSonic S12II 620w,
RAM: Crucial Ballistix Sport 8gb
Case: Corsair 200R
 
Why are you upgrading your CPU and Motherboard? What do you do on this computer that the current setup isn't capable of handling? What kind of budget do you have?
