I've heard that modern 64-Bit CPUs have come up with the capability that when they are idle, they automatically reduce the processor speed thus increasing the CPU life.

I have intel Pentium D 915*, and my motherboard is 945GNT. Can anyone tell me how can i enable this settings in BIOS??

Thanks in advance

feature has been available for a while. amd has cool and quiet, intel has speedstep and enhanced speedstep. usually they lower multiplier, and/or vcore. plus there are third party programs that do this like crystalcpuid. i dont know if your chipset/cpu support it. check out intel website, mainboard manual.
