My computer has been runnen fine except a few days after reformatting. I find that when I run games my cpu is being hooged big time and even with running small things like IE and winamp at the same time it'll slow down maken my cursor drag and make my music distort.

I mean even playing games it'll frame lag where it's never done that before. I just recently upgraded my ram to 768 (256 stick of 2700, and 512 of 2700 but they seem not compatible makeing my computer freeze so there running at 222mhz mode instead of 333mhz or whatever).

I have a P4 2.4ghz, 768 mb's ram, Radeon 9600 pro, and 2 80 gig HD's (One is set at 2 gigs, guess I need to flash my bios?). Thanks guys for your help.

It sounds most likely to be your ram, I would try 1 stick at a time. It could also be your drivers, are they all updated?

Keeping my old 256mb stick of ram it all works good. It's samsung and the 512 stick is Spectek. Can't even run 333mhz alone. :( I guess I should go looken for another Samsung stick? I have an Msi 845G-max mobo and I think I remember reading it's picky on the ram and not all 2700 run good. Only kingston and others.
