I need a heatsink that is around 40$ that will clear the northbridge on the Abit IP35-E. I was looking at the Zerotherm Nrivana, Arctic Freezer Pro , and Xigmatec S1283. Thanks for any help.

Freezer pro won't fit the IP35-E for me...I had to replace the NB with a shorter heatsink I pulled off an older mobo.

for what it's worth.. i have a CM Geminii on my IP35E. it fits fine, cools decently well for only $10 (was on special a few months back).

however, if i'd known then what i know now, i wouldn't have bought it. damn heavy thing bent my motherboard in record-breaking time.

my xigmatek 964 fits fine , i would assume the other hdt ones fit fine also on the p35-e

Zerotherm should fit fine, as should the Xigmatech. Might also consider the Noctua HSF the [H] just reviewed.

It fits it just fine. I stuck one on an IP35-E a few months ago for a build I did. All I had to do was a little trimming on the heatsink and no problems after that. Actually if I remember rigth it was just the fan shrowd that was hitting and needed a little trim. For this buld im looking to go a little bigger tho. The Zerotherm should work well. The Noctua is nice and I happen to own one but for the price/performance ratio I think there is better out there.
