Is there a website that you can go to that will show on average the amount of ppd you can expect from different cpu's/gpu's? The info would be nice to know if I am thinking of buying something so I can get the most bang for my buck.
 
Just ask here. There's probably every CPU and GPU being used by somebody in this sub-forum. Lots of helpful people.



 
I usually just google "x ppd" where x is the product :D you'll find a thread somewhere
 
Do you have a budget? It might be easier for us to give you recommendations :)
 
The i7-930 is the best bang for the buck. or a used 920 if you can find a good deal on used. Microcenter has 930's for $200
