i have nf7-s with winbond monitor installed and a slk800 wit a smartfan 2 on it, after i restart and i want to check temps with winbond, my cpu fan stops spinning, and then i have to restart for it to start working. WHAT IS GOING ON! someone please help.

Don't use the "smart" fan controllers. At some point, they always fail. Could take an hour or a year, but it's bound to fail. If you want to use a controller get a fanbus, or a pci slot fan bus, much more reliable either way.

well, the fanbus will fail too. how do you have the fan connected? if it is directly to the motherboard header, use the 3->4pin adaptor they gave you with the fan. much safer. the motherboard header could be overloading if winbond tries to supply a full 12v to the fan.
