CPU FAN does not change speed

Why would my cpu fan (coolermaster hyper 212) won't increase the speed of the FAN when the cpu temp goes up, I am monitoring this with OCCT and when I push it the cpu rpms are always fluctuatin between 700 and 750, the temp goes from 36 IDLE to 82 after 3 minutes with full load but RPMs does not change

My motherboard is gigabyte GA-Z68-UD4 B1 with 2600K

Any ideas??

Probably something isn't configured correctly in the BIOS

BIOS-> PC Health Status->
- CPU Smart FAN Control: Normal
- CPU Smart FAN Mode: PWM


If you're wanna complicate things, then set to:

- CPU Smart FAN Control: Manual
- CPU Smart FAN Mode: PWM
- Slope PWM: between 0.75 PWM value /*C ~ 2.50 PWM value /*C.

I tried, normal, auto, manual (pwm) but it seems that the FAN might not be sensing or be changing the current to increase the speed.

Have any other 4 pin PWM headers you can plug it in to?

Or another PWM fan you can test that header with?

Do you have the old Hyper 212 with 3-pin fan but it doesn't make sense, because it's LGA775...

Thre's a note from the manual:

Note: The Voltage mode can be set for a 3-pin CPU fan or a 4-pin CPU fan. However, for a 4-pin CPU fan that is not designed following Intel PWM fan specifications, selecting PWM mode may not effectively reduce the fan speed.

Did you plug the Hyper 212 Plus in the correct fan header, or changed the fan ?

The MOBO FAn is 4 PIN while the FAN is 3

So you have the old Hyper 212, like this: LINK ?

Then you must set it something like this:

- CPU Smart FAN Control: Normal
- CPU Smart FAN Mode: Voltage

If those settings don't work, then go ahead and buy a Blade Master 120mm (R4-BMBS-20PK-R0) for 12 bucks and free shipping.
The fan is from CoolerMaster, 4-pin PWM, fairly good (probably the same as the 212+ have).
