Hey All,
Just picked up a Cooler Master Haf XB. I have a Noctua NC-14 and am using both 140MM fans. Seeing as the motherboard lays horizontal with this case, would it be better to have the fans blowing up and out of the case (drawing hot air off the MB)or down onto the components (cooling the Mb components)? Just looking for opinions here...thanks
 
There's generally only a few degrees difference between the two. Depends on several factors. Do you have the optional 200mm fan on the top of the case, or do you plan to? I would say experiment with the two options. A lot of that likely will depend on your cable management. Was looking at that case myself, I have an Antec 1100 now, and it's good. But I like the XB better. Specifically with the hot-swap HDD bays!
 
I hear ya. The only thing I don't like is the front fan filter is "built in" to the face plate. You'd have to bend the tabs to the grill to get to the filter. I'm looking at some DEMCiflex filters to replace it. Other than that, the case is mint. I'm not sure if I'll be using the top 200MM, up in the air with that right now, but definitely an option. I also didn't take into consideration how the airflow of the two front (once installed) 140MM fans would be changed. Maybe not at all.
