I wasn't sure where to post this. The problem started with the computer not posting/booting. The lights, fans, optical drive, and HDDs power on, but nothing comes on to the display. I've tried 2 monitors, 2 GPU (onboard and PCIe), 2 power supplies, and eventually another motherboard. Is this indication that the CPU is dead? There's also a possibility that the second motherboard I tried everything on is broken. I got it off of eBay.

Here's my setup:
 
ummm, what gpu are u using, and what power supplies have you tested with, post full specs of system if you can, I would also only try the monitor you know is working first.
 
Have you checked to see if there aren't any lose screws or motherboard mounting brackets? Sometimes if those post's are misaligned with the motherboard holes it will create a short and the board won't post.

Pull everything out and set it on a non-metallic surface. Boot with bare minimums (onboard graphics if you have them) and 1 stick of ram and no HDD. See if it posts then.

GPU: Onboard and HD4000 series
PSU: Antec Earthwatts 380W and Antec 700W

I'll have to give that a try when I have time. I have every available mounting point screwed on.
 
also double check what your bios is on that board, its showing that bios 417 are the oldest bios that support the 5050e which there are a bunch of older bios before that which don't support the 5050e.
 
CPUs very, very rarely die past the initial chance of DOA. I think it's some problem with your mobo. See if you can try yet another board or update BIOS.

Or, could it be your RAM?
