ok yesterday when i went to take my HSF fan off of the CPU and motherboard it would not come off, so i pulled a little bit harder and BAM it came off along with the CPU

that bitch was really stuck on there with AS5 i had to twist it around a bunch of time to get it to come off i hope i did not damage anything doing that, the CPU looks fine

has this happened to anyone else before?

tons of ppl...just make shure your pins arent bent/broken

LOL ok good i thought this must be a common problem mabey with the new AS5? the last thermal past i used was AS3 and it was really easy to come off, or mabey this is a problem with AMD64's and the big heatspreader makes it stick more?

and yeah all the pins look just fine and i out the cpu back into the MB without any trouble,

im shipping my computer across country so i wont know for another few days if its ok

well good luck on the shipment! hope it gets there in one piece!

:hint:
