I'd just like to get some opinions on this. I went with a budget build awhile back: 1gb refurb 6950, 8GB RAM, & an i3 550. Got the i3 to overclock to 4GHz.

Now I'm looking at the cheap 27" korean monitors (2560x1440, ips) but I'll probably want to upgrade my video card after getting one. And since 7970s are having nice price drops & discounts, I'll probably go with one of those. Any thoughts on how much the cpu will hold me back? I mostly play games like Arma II (Dayz), Witcher 2, and source games, so nothing horribly demanding.

I'm hoping that I'll be able to get a couple more years out of this setup.
