CPU Bottleneck?

I just recently upgraded my GPU from a HD5770 to a HD5870.

While playing Call Of Duty Modern Warfare 3, my FPS are:

HD5870 - max 93, avg 90
HD5770 - max 93, avg 77

My question is whether or not my CPU, i5-750 @ 3.8GHz is bottle-necking the max FPS in the game.

um no, an i5 750 quad at 3.8 would not be a bottleneck for a 5870. 77 fps for a 5870 sounds about right for max settings at 1920 so you must be losing your mind thinking you averaged 90 fps with a 5770.
 
No way that is a bottleneck clocked at 3.8GHz....you must have hose numbers switched? I bet your minimum went way up on the 5870 as well.
 
Did it automatically turn up your settings in response to the faster video card?
 
My bad, I did have the video cards posted backwards; it should be:

HD5870 - max 93, avg 90
HD5770 - max 93, avg 77

Anyway, it seems weird that with either card I used, my max FPS was 93. I was aiming for 120 FPS for my 1920x1080 @ 120Hz monitor.

Oh yeah, I forgot to mention I had vertical sync ON when I was playing.
