I have a Thermaltake Silent boost that has an 80mm fan on it. i wanted to get a 120mm fan and somhow have the 120mm feed the 80mm for max coolage. how would i go about doing this. since i have 2x80mm fans in the back blowing in. and i have an 80mm side fan blowing out. im kinda out of ideas on where to put it. i really dont want to mod the case. any ideas. i heard there was an adapter that can take a smaller size fitting and make it bigger. for example an 80mm to 120mm like what i want to do.
 
so you have no intake fans? ..I'm a little confused - you want to replace the HSF 80mm fan with a 120mm one? or you want to have additional 120 fan blowing on the HSF unit?
 
Yes there are adapters you can use to install larger 120mm fans when its meant for an 80mm fan.

Something else i should note is you need to turn your two rear 80mm fans around and have them as exhaust. Your cutting down airflow with using them as intakes. Exhaust is more important than intake. You always want to have more blowing out then blowing in.

^^ What he said. If you have the room, throw as many fans in the front as you can for intake, turn your rears for exhaust, and the side fan should also be an intake as well (isn't that for video or something?).
