Hi, i've been a great fan of koolance product for more than 5 years (6 1/2 to be exact). Have changed cpu / video cards dozens of time with the same cpu-300 and exos-2 set up i bought long ago. Last night i upgraded from a e4300 to a qx6850 and got some heat problem. I got an asus striker extreme, and my original e4300 was happily running cool with just one cpu-300 in the exos-2 loop. Along with the cpu upgrade, i also introduced VID-282 (for my 8800 gtx), 2 voltage regulators and 2 chipset coolers. The set up can be depicted as followed:
start - CPU -> video card -> split -> CHC-120-V06 -> CHC-120-V06->join->back to exos 2
-> VR -> VR->
I checked the bios temp monitor (no windows, just bios), the chipset temp is stabilized around 30C while the cpu creeps up to low 50's and then the cpu was forced to shutdown on its own.
The water is definitely hot, so the heat is definitely transferred to the water, so that rules out the cpu-300.
The Exos-2 was working before, so i don't see why the rads are not doing its job.
Water is definitely flowing. I understand the flow rate would be slower than before because of additional blocks, but the cpu shouldn't keep going up.....
please, some help from the pros...
