anyone getting artifacts who is using a 6800 series card when using the nighthawk?
they are polygonal artifacts..same kind when the memory is overclocked too high..but mine's is at stock :) can someone confirm this is a game bug or a solution to fix this? and no..I do not want to underclock..I have tried lowering the memory clock 100mhz under stock and still there

Have you tried using different set of drivers? There are tons of beta drivers out there.

What's the best driver to use? 66.93?

It really depends on your components... All beta drivers have bugs that appear in specific setups. Personally I still use the 66.93's even though I have an SLI rig, but thats cause they have given me zero issues so far with the few games I play.

the 75.90 drivers are the newst ones with the most ammount of changes, however there are some minor issues and SLI LCD setups are not working out well with them, but if you have a CRT or just one card they are pretty good. (minor probs: fan speed is slower on 6800GTs unless clocked up which creates higher temp readings, some report overclocks will turn off and back on during loading or transistions which causes some lag time, WoW is getting some odd noises)

What's the nighthawk?

How are your core temps?

Edit: ...... you mean the deagle? ;)

yeah, the deagle....my temp are never over 66...I measure by running rtltilrtkr or whatever that program is and playing lots of games with rivatuner too....load max is 66..so yeah....the deagle seems to be alot shinier and more reflective than any other gun...maybe that's why ;(

I just hope you guys don't ever call it a deagle in the firearms fourm or at any gun event IRL... Otherwise TRUE gun people will laugh at you a lot...

Rofl I was at the range with my friends once and they had a .50AE Desert Eagle for rent ($12) and this kid comes in and says, "I want that one..." The clerk asks how many boxes of ammo he wants and he says, "2." At this point the clerk is holding back his laughter (its like $2 a shot). The guy takes it to the range, and one of my friends goes up to him and says, "You know how to shoot this thing right?" The kid says "Duh! Geez I use it in CS all the time, it should be similar." Trying VERY hard to hold his laughter back my friend says, "Oookay then, have fun!" So the kid uses one hand to hold the gun and fires his first shot. WHAM the recoil makes the gun go smack into his forehead leaving a pretty nice slash that's getting bloody quickly, and he was holding the gun with his hand too high so the slide came and went over his hand cutting him some more. He just stands there dazed for a couple of seconds and decides he wants to take another shot. This time he's a little smarter and uses 2 hands. As he pulls the trigger he squats and ducts his head and the gun recoils just above his head. After that he decides he's had enough and returns the gun and asks if he can return the ammo. Amazingly the clerk said he'd take the ammo back as well (maybe he felt sorry for him). CS kiddies beware... CS isn't the least bit real. (like why the hell does an M4 have better accuracy than a FAMAS in that game?)

CS is so unrealistic with the weapons. Absurd how full auto is impossible, even when you are 2 feet in front of someone. Also, the guns sound nothing like that in real life, especially the AK47. Whatever, css is still my favorite game.

what does <3 means? some guy did it to me and i didnt know what that meant hehe

It means less than 3. It's a term of endearment among teenaged internet users, really.

ex: "I less than 3 this cup of warm urine!"

I never had this problem... I've been using 71.81 drivers and just recently went up to the 75.90a. However, I am also using the gamesfusion Fusion Pack for CSS v1.0...
