Trying to do a clean install of Win2000 on a new sata drive. booting from cdrom I get the error message "couldnt open the boot partition to check for a signature" then it goes on to say "checking your hardware configuaration". then it boots via cdrom, I press f6 to install drivers, it goes through the usual install. ntfs partition created everything looks "usual" system reboots -- same error msg and wants to go through the driver and Win2000 install all over again. When I get to the windows install ...theres the ntfs partition I hit enter / leave partitior alone / warning c: winnt file will be deleted / press "l" ( i think ..Im brain dead by now) / windows loads / reboots / error message again / wants to start install over.
