• Some users have recently had their accounts hijacked. It seems that the now defunct EVGA forums might have compromised your password there and seems many are using the same PW here. We would suggest you UPDATE YOUR PASSWORD and TURN ON 2FA for your account here to further secure it. None of the compromised accounts had 2FA turned on.
Once you have enabled 2FA, your account will be updated soon to show a badge, letting other members know that you use 2FA to protect your account. This should be beneficial for everyone that uses FSFT.

Could this be my Problem!

I was researching some issues with prescotts and found this.

http://support.microsoft.com/default.aspx?scid=kb;en-us;885627&Product=winxp

I have sp2 loaded prior to installing the 2.8e prescott, since my old MOBO was the exact same board I didn't reload OS. The problems I have had go from not running the correct speed in windows all the way to very slow performance(IE clicking Icon and system locks up for about 20-45 seconds then runs program)Does that to all programs I have.

I just need some input on this.

Thansk in advance for your help.

About a month back there was a thread about Sp2 not playing nice with prescotts. You might want to double check on that. There is also a new hold in microsoft software that allows coding and viruses through jpeg files. There are patches on their site of course. If you are looking to be secure, I would stop using IE and switch over to firefox for your browser as well as using an antivirus and some combination of a software and hardware firewall. You should also probably disable networking options and access into your computer, which xp has on by default.
