Could please diagnose my problem ???

Try reseating your vid card. It happened to me few times and didnt happen after reseat the card.

Looks like the video card is artifacting. If the reseat doesn't work, might be time to RMA the video card.

as was said take it out.

hold fan with thumb..

can of compressed air, blow out the dust... (do this outside so no dust ends up inside your house..

gently but firmly reseat the video card.., plug the power cables back in and power back up.

hopefully you registered the card... evga has life time warranty so you should be able to get a nice upgrade.

Don't remember registering...Bummer

I bought from newegg.com,I have the receipt online, would the still RMA ?

I reset the Video card and the same thing happened. So I call them tomorrow the get the ticket number.

i think you may only get the lifetime warranty if you register within 30 days (i could be mistaken). so hopefully, you have had it less than 3 years (maybe - dropped fall '06). a good chance you will get a 9800 something in return. i dont remember if this is better than the 8800gtx or not, but the gtx was a great card.

btw, have you checked to see if the fan is working on the vid card?

I got luck out,I just registered yesterday after 3 years and I will get my replacement.

"Dear XXX XXXXX,
This message is to confirm that EVGA has approved your RMA request.

Please read the entire instructions carefully or you may void your warranty!"
:D

I paid $549.99 for this card,which replacement should I get ?

they arent going to give you a card that costs $550 right now, if they happen to have a refurb 8800gtx laying aound (i doubt it at this point) you might get that. you will get something from the next gen/gen and a half that is sort of equal in performance to the 8800gtx. so thats prob a 9800gtx or gtx+, maybe a 250. but i have also heard of guys send in 8800gts and getting back a 9600gt.

sounds dumb but I had a evga geforce 2 ultra years and years ago, and it would always have a shade of red

I had to put a weight on the monitor plug at the video card to make it plugged in so that its like your using your hand to pull the plug downward so it plugs in diagonally

it fixed my problem of having a heavy yellow shade
