Could not get ID from server error

i installed a old smaller HDD in a spare PC of mine, reinstalled xp and i can't get F@H to start.

i don't have a net conection for this PC so i use a usb thumb drive to transfer F@H to mu main PC to send/receive work, always worked before, any idea on why it is not working now ?

well theres your problem right there.... wrong team! :p

client wants a user name before going forward, pop the reg key out of another box and you shoul dbe good to go.

You need to copy the registry entery for folding from the first computer to the second.
Run -> Regedit
HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE -> SOFTWARE -> PandeGroup -> Folding@Home -> UserID.
Add the 16 bit key in.
Then set the first box up like a dual core machine and just transfere a whole folder between boxen as needed.

Thats probably the easiest way to get around having no outside conection on the second box.

Loyalty is a good thing and the most important thing is that you are folding so we at [H] don't give a damn about whose team u fold for...











we do give a damn but u get the idea...
