Well they say bad things come in three and this is a prime example :p First my water pump was all plugged up making my computer run hot so I cleaned it, then my 4-pin molex connector fried itself in its socket, fixed that, now my second hard drive isn't showing up. Its recognized by the motherboard bios, and I did some hard drive diagnostic checking with Ultimate Boot CD, that said no errors, but the darn thing won't show up in either Windows or Linux. Well I should say it pops up under Disk Management in XP, but it wants to format it and Linux just can't mount the drive period. Any idea what could be going on?
 
corrupted MFT could be a problem. NTFS volumes may not be easy to mount in Linux regardless of their integrity, but I have little experience in Linux apart from knowing that there is limited support for NTFS volumes.
