Hello all,

I've got 4 x Cougar CF-V12HP running off of the Corsair H100 fan controller.

When the controller spins the fans down (it's on the quiet setting) i notice a (admittedly very quiet) high frequency ticking/buzzing noise from the fans. I'm not sure if it's all of them at this point, as i've not taken the setup apart yet.

Is this normal? I'm guessing not. Assuming it will only get worse...?

I cant hear the ticking / buzzing if i'm more than a couple feet away, fwiw.

Sounds like they are barely getting the voltage they need to spin. Are they spinning?

as they spin up, at a certain point the ticking / buzzing goes away... or is drowned out by the air moving.

These are PWM fans, they should be able to undervolt nice n quiet, no?

hrm, not so easily done.

i'll try and find some video on youtube, and see if it's comparible.
