Great idea on the speedo, but I'm not sure I could pull that one off! I ended up using a 12v hobby motor and running it off the power supply, so no variable speed.
 
Do you have pictures? I can't access Youtube at work..... Not that I spend exorbitant amounts of time on the [H] at work... :D
