I have got the CORSAIR CM2X2048-6400 DDR2 kits
http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.asp?Item=N82E16820145590
I can run system stable at 4-4-3-4@800mhz (FSB 200) on 1.9v (memory voltage). The problems came when I try to OC. You can find the settings and result on the table below:
FSB RAM Voltage Status
200 800 1.9v stable
230 920 2.3v stable
240 799 1.9v stable
240 960 2.3v no post
250 750 1.9v stable
250 833 2.3v stable
250 1000 2.3v no post
266 888 2.3v not stable
270 540 1.9v stable
It seemed that memory bandwidth cant exceed 920mhz, even if I set the memory voltage to 2.5v.
Did I buy a bad corsair memory? I have no idea why this happened. Because this memory can OC to 1048mhz according to legitreviews. http://www.legitreviews.com/article/258/1/
I wonder this problem might cause by the MB, for Gigabyte is not good at OC. But I dont have an extra MB at hand, so I cant do the test.
Does anyone can give me some help?
Thanks!
