I just what to know what is the maximum voltage I can give to those sticks.
It's 1.8v or 1.9v default ?

do you know what chips they have? if not, at least tell us the revision and the actual model number... there are several different xms2 6400 kits ;)

well according to cpuz CM2X512A-6400 for each of them , it's cl5 i think

I'd say check the revision number, and check this:

CM2X512A-6400 XMS6405v3.1 0639014-2 = Infineon AENEON, Die Rev B, 64M X 8 Rev B
CM2X512A-6400 XMS6405v4.1 0633067-1 = PROMOS 800MHZ, CL5, 0.09u 64Mx8 ETT
CM2X512A-6400 XMS6405v1.1 0531093-0 = Micron, 64Mx8,2-533, CL4, T47H64M8FT-37E Die Rev A
CM2X512A-6400 XMS6405V3.1 0609062-1 = Infineon AENEON, Die Rev B, 64M X 8 Rev B
CM2X512A-6400 XMS6405v3.1 0628012-2 = Infineon 64Mx8, DDR2, AENEON, Die Rev B (90nm)
CM2X512A-6400 XMS6405v4.1 0631250-9 = PROMOS 0.09u 64Mx8 ETT

The Infineon, anything above 1.9-2.0 will be pointless. Same with Promos. The Micron can take up to about 2.2 without airflow over it, anything above that I'd recommend getting a dominator airflow fan or some other active cooling solution.

Thanks for the info,
dangg... Looks like it's Promos.

XMS6405V4.1 0632006-1

it won't do more than 490 currently with +0.2
So anybody can help to clarify the default voltage ?

On any Corsair XMS DDR2 module that is not Dominator, the max voltage within warranty spex is 2.1v.

I'll double that. Frowny Face, Frowny Face.

ALthough... I can't complain with 1.4ghz free performance from overclocking to 946Mhz.
But I still envy those guys who reached 1000 ! Since I paid more money for Memory(and everything) in this freaking country, I should get 1050 !

And I feel the memory is the one that holding me back.

I got some corsair dominator 800mhz ram.. When that gets in I'll know how much it'll OC. :D

I'm hoping it'll go up to 1066mhz. woo?!

just stuck mine at 2.3v seems to be running fine at 1080mhz - wouldnt boot at 2.1v mines the promos stuff as well just so u no pumping up voltage does seem to help even promos modules :)

Don't want to thread hijack, but could one of you Corsair folks tell me which chips are used on teh Corsair XMS2 Dominator TWIN2X2048-6400C4D modules. I am just putting together a new build and planned on using 4 gigs of this on a new Intel Bad Axe 2 board.

x2 i want to know also for the corsair dominator 6400c4d, i also just got the fan unit in the mail, just waiting on newegg to send me some good sticks...

Here is our IC listing thread.

To my knowledge, all Dominator has been and will be made only with Micron ICs. But, the only way to know for sure is to have all the info listed in post #1 on that thread above.
