Does anybody use this or had any luck with it,i know the Leds are cool but does anyone have any [H]ard specs from usage..

i would suspect that it's a lot like an instant miles per gallon usage gauge on some fancy cars. you probably won't really ever look at it but it just might be useful at some point. but the ram has nifty lights to make it look cool, i assume you have a window. (i don't have that ram, just making some comments)

Ah the lights are kinda cool, but im more concerned with testing and benchmarking...
In theory the heat sink should be just about perfect,i think well be seeing more memory adopting that aluminum body..

Dude, it was only an extra few bucks for me, why not? I've got a window, and it's nice to see it peg at maximum whenever I fire something up. To each his own, remember that.

Hell yea korrption - if you like that shiz then go for it man. Don't let anyone lock you down.

I think it looks pretty cool and I do have a window except I'm more concerned with getting Bh-5 ram than having leds.

I think the underlying RAM is just as good as Corsair has always been and if a modder it's a bonus

I'm not sure why some people on here are so "offended" by the LED's. I personally think they look pretty cool.

While not super useful the LED's could serve a purpose (ie: at least there not just static LED's, they do adjust under load).

After all, most of use like to mod our rigs with ccneon and/or chrome fans, etc. Do these little cosmetic extras have to serve a purpose?

Putting all that aside, all I know is that I have always and will always buy Corsair memory (having had solid and reliable and great performance results). I've never had a problem with any of their products, and they have the best customer support in the business (one look at the corsair forums and you'll see what I mean).

Cheers,

Kared

Think of it as a CPU-usage monitor. It's great. Though it has CH-5, I'm not complaining.

Yea I have a pair of 512 sticks of the XMS Pro PC3200, CH-5 chips, mine are ok. They do 220 FSB at 2.8v at respectiable timings (2-3-3-11), any higher and they start having errors. The board I have em on can't do any higher than 2.8v without a Vdimm mod, so they're stuck at 220.

Stock timings are 2-3-3-7, but they do 2-3-2-6 fine.

The LED's can come in handy if you have a case window, they add to your PC's look but also let you know how much of each stick is being used. For testing they also let you know that the RAM is at least working ;)
