I was tinkering with stuff in my case. Which I dont usually do. I decided to set my AGP bus to 99mhz. Well as you can guess I had to clear my cmos. Well upon reconfiguring my BIOS, I starting putting my memory settings back to what they were. 6-2-2-2 which is what they were before hand. Now I cant get my pc3200 XMS to run past 8-3-3-3. Really bothering me anything I can do. I tried upping the voltage and setting the settings to 6-2-2-2 but to no avail I get a long single beep repeated when I try to restart after saving my BIOS info. HELP!

That beep means you memory is installed incorrectly, try reseating them.

You memory should be 2-2-2-6, not 6-2-2-2, you have the same motherboard as me so make sure the timing on the top is 11, and the three numbers below are 2.

11 is actually faster than 6 on nForce 2 boards.

Also make sure to flash to the latest BIOS, I read that it fixes some problems with cosair memory.

LOL I figured out what it was. It wasnt 2-2-2-6 it was 2-3-3-6 Stupid me. Oh well thanx for the help.

the last number should be 10 or 11... 98% of the people use 11... i never bothered to test.. i just made mine 11...

i thought my memory could do 2-2-2-11 at 200.. it might with more voltage, but my shuttle will die if i change that.. so i made it 2-3-2-11 and it is fine...

so try 2-3-3-11.. then see if you can get one or both of those 3's to a 2... or see how high you can get the fsb at 2-3-3-11

what is your memory actually rated for anyways??

I'm tinkering with the same thing right now and my memory is rated at 400mhz, default timings are 2-2-2-6, I'm using an Asus A7N8X which is an nforce 2 mobo, does that mean that I would be better of to run something like 2-2-2-11 or 2-3-2-11 for an OC? I'll up the voltage by 0.1 also so will the RAM be fine running 2-3-2-11, 11x200?

my ram is rated at 2-3-3-X at 217? (pc 3500) so i thought it could do 2-2-2-11 at 200.. it can't

if yours is rated at 2-2-2-X at 200.. then do 2-2-2-11 @ 200... you shoudl be fine... it probably will also go a bit above 200 at 2-2-2-X, you just have to see how far, and how much you are willing to raise the voltage...
