Was looking at the BFG 1000W deal for $60 (shipped incl. tax). I decided to see what else I could get since it was a refurb from a company that went out of business and the HARDOCP review was only a pass. I was also worried about the stability (oc'ing and dual gpu) and 90C temps (small case) under load.
Found the Corsair TX 950 for roughly 2x the price (shipped incl. tax to CA). This supply is a new design than the lower capacity TX series, a GOLD editor's choice award, 5 years warranty and is brand new. 2x price might still be too much for other folks, but I'd rather do this than buy extra insurance or 2 refurbs for the parts. This is going into my main machine, so convenience and peace of mind is more important for me.
If you are outside of CA and don't have to pay tax then the deal comes down to $110 shipped (don't forget the 10% promo code). Newegg has the whole TX series on sale so if your on a tighter budget then you can get the 850 and 750 with the 10% off, but they do not have the GOLD award rating (both are silver). Tigerdirect has the same deal on the TX950 but w/o tax for CA, but they seem to be out of stock which makes getting the rebate a bit iffy.
