I bought the Corsair RM850x for my latest build and found out they have inline capacitors for the 24pin, CPU/EPS and PCIe cables that "that enhance voltage regulation and ripple suppression". I am looking at buying sleeved cable replacements for the stock cables.

Does anyone know what would happen if I did not put the capacitors back in?

I do realize it is probably in my best interest to have these capacitors present in my new cables. I am just looking for feedback from anyone that has tried them without or knowledge on the issue.

Thanks!

You will get slightly more ripple and greater variance in voltage. This can slightly lower your maximum overclock if you're going balls to the wall, but won't affect usage otherwise.

Sweet thanks for the reply. Definitely not going for maximum overclock on my system..
