so I have a Corsair rm750x and I’m starting to wonder if I need a bigger psu.
Currently I have a 8700k @ 5ghz at 1.4 vcore, 2 8gb sticks of 3200mhz ram, 2 7200rpm drives, 2 SATA SSDs, 6 noctua industrial 3000 fans, and a DDC pump for my custom water loop.

I was trying to push my CPU to 5.1 ghz but every time I run occt my computer shuts off without any bsods or errors. I’m thinking that my psu is teaching is limits?

I was under the impression that a 750 watt should be enough for a single gpu with a custom loop however I’m starting to doubt that.

Any of you guys have experience in this matter? It would be greatly appreciated.

Depends on silicon - that’s part of the silicon lotto. Yes, it can potentially have a huge effect on power draw.
