Corsair PSU made a BIG difference!

This is my system:

Intel DX38BT
Q6600 G0 w/ Thermalright Ultra-120 Extreme
2GB DDR3 OCZ Gold
Corsair TX650W
WD 640GB
ATI 4850

Earlier this month I upgraded my old PC and when doing so, I used the older Antec Earthwatts 500W power supply I had. It wasn't bad I thought, but when trying to overclock my system, I couldn't seem to get any higher than 3.1GHz no matter what I tried. I was told to try upgrading my PSU to get more stability and better power.

I took that advice and what a difference it made! I have now been able to overclock my Q6600 to 3.5GHz at 1.275 VID, and I haven't tried pushing further, but man oh man, it's rock solid stable so far, and no issues, random reboots, BSOD's, etc...I'm going to see how much further I can push this thing, tomorrow.

I can't believe how much of a difference the PSU has made. I spent a few hours looking at people's recommendations here on the forum, and I debated between Corsair and PCP&C, but decided to go with the Corsair TX650W because of the good things I had heard about the PSU, as well as the highly touted Corsair customer service stories. Price was also a deciding factor, and the mail in rebate helped steer me that way too. I was debating between modular or not, but the extra $40 or so for the HX620 wasn't worth it to me, considering both PSU's are supposedly made by Seasonic.I'm glad I chose Corsair so far, and I'm very impressed with the stability and power of the PSU. Thanks for all the recommendations everyone!

Damn, I was considering a corsair but caved and bought something at half the price.
 
Very happy with my Corsair PSUs.

I've had some really crappy ones in the past, but these babies made all the difference. :D
 
HX520W here.

My advice: Don't buy them off Newegg - they charge extra for their PSU's. Corsair customer service is also good to the point that there really isn't any benefit from buying at Newegg anyway. :) Bought mine off buy.com for about 30$ cheaper than Newegg had at the time. Although now looks like that difference has gone down to 10$.
 
I just replaced my thermaltake psu and ocz ram for the corsair HX520W psu and DHX6400 ram. Definitely a more stable machine, made a hudge difference and solved my problems.

+1 for Corsair.
