Just want to check in on power requirements...
Upgrading my core from the stone age.

e7200 C2D wolfdale, 4gb ram

to

i5 2500K, 8gb ram

Also have a 6950 with 4 hard drives.
I plan to OC just a little bit, probably over 4. Will I be stressing the PSU too much? Should I upgrade the wattage?

You wouldn't be stressing it at all, even with pushing your hardware to their max overclocks.

You should be just fine. I been running my HX620 for about 4+ years now and still going strong. My current system is similar to the build you are upgrading too and haven't had any issues.

awesome!

on a further note.... does ur hx620 run hot as coals? the air blowing out of it from the back is hot hot hot on mine.

The thing you have to remember is that the fan controller is designed to keep the internals of the PSU under a certain safe operating temperature, not cool, to minimize noise. If your fan is running high and there is lots of heat coming out, then there's something wrong. If it's running low, there's nothing to worry about.

No, my PSU is running cool to the touch and the air coming out isn't hot either. My case has a vented port with a fan filter at the bottom of the case for the PSU fan. Do you have a small case? Is the PSU fan being obstructed?

*edit* NVM saw your signature, your case is nice and big so that shouldn't be the problem.

Try blowing dust out of the PSU with compressed air?
