Corsair HX520 question

Did a new build about 3 weeks ago of pretty much everything but my case and PSU. Been thinking of getting a new modular PSU for cleaning up cables and checked out Corsair's web site to see what they reccomended. Their calculator pointed me towards the HX520.

I read the reviews here and a few other places and the numbers look it will be more than enough to power my set up but just wanted to get some opinions before buying one.

My current set up is:

Q6600
Rosewill RCX-Z775-LX 92MM fan
DFI LT X38-T2R
4GB G.Skill DDR2 1000
EvGA 8800GTS (G92) 512
1 WD 120GB SATA 3.0gb HD
1 Lite-on DVD/CDRW SATA combo drive
Using the onboard sound and LAN
2 80MM case fans

Yes I've OC'd it a bit Q6600@3.0 (9X333)
the 8800GTS has a pretty mild OC on it with aftermarket cooling (Accelero S1 w/120mm fan)

I have the 520HX and it runs:

E8400
AC7 Freezer Pro
2GB RAM
Seagate 250GB HDD
Samsung 203B DVD Burner
8800GTS(G92)
7x120mm case Fans

So far no problems, kept the computer on for about 10+ days and hasn't crashed yet.

Not sure what you want opinions on.

If you want to know if it will power the system, the answer is yes, easily.
If you want to know if they are good PSUs, then the answer is also a solid yes.

Check buy.com when you are shopping around. They always seems to have deals on the Corsair supplies and frequently include free shipping. Zipzoomfly occasionally has good prices as well. Not often, though.

I just picked one up on Buy.com for $80 shipped. It's a pretty killer price (less 10 MIR and 10 Google Checkout).

It would power your system and is a great PSU (&quiet too).

Yes that is exactly what I was looking for and thank you all for your replies so far.
The thinking, as many of you know, used to be "more is better" in terms of PSU and wattage. I see now that is not the case and have been trying to get more familiar with the what and why's of the good PSUs out there.

Well, more is better when moving up in the same quality brands (Corsair, Pc Power and Cooling, etc). These offer great, solid rail PSUs. Efficiency is also important -- if it has to draw more out the wall to provide the same amount of power it'll impact your electricity bill.

But, that being said, a move up to the 620hx would be better -- both PSUs would provide your system with the same amount of power and draw about the same amount from the wall (not exactly depending on their "efficiency curves"), but the 620hx leaves you that headroom to expand: more HDDs, crossfire in the future, etc..

Really, if you think you *might* expand to crossfire in the future investing more now would save you the cost of replacing it in the future. If you know you won't, the 520hx is the smarter buy.

My previous build was an AMD,NForce, SLI setup and it was pretty much a huge let down so I can say in all honesty that I don't see myself going to a multi card set up with any GPU manufacturer (yeah I know it makes no sense to buy a board that is capable of it but never use it. The other features of this board were my purchasing points).

I did look at the 620 and could afford one, just really couldn't see from all I read that I "needed" one if the 520 was more than sufficent.
