Corsair H80 Intel brackets

I have a Corsair H80 that I used in my last rig. With an Asus Sabertooth mobo 1156 socket.

I'm building a new gaming rig with an MSI X99 mobo.

Will the Intel brackets with the H80 work in the new motherboard? Or do I need to get the new Corsair bracket kit for 2011 socket?

you don't need a backplate for x79/x99 motherboards as the boards have already a backplate.. you only need the standoff for 2011 boards which are already included in the mounting kit. every thing will be exactly the same as your 1156 except you will be skipping the mounting backplate part and go straight with the standoff and pump/block mount.. its easier =).

Yup, as mentioned, the main thing you need to look for are the LGA 2011 standoffs (which are included but people tend to lose them).

No backplate required.

Well this is interesting. I just looked at MSI site, and the XPOWER AC motherboard comes with a special OC backplate for mounting the water cooler.
