I purchased a Corsair H60 awhile back for my I5-3570k. I'm concerned if it's faulty or if the temps are normal. Idle hovers around 34c. While performing Intel's diagnostic tool test temps get up to 82c. When installing I referenced Corsair's youtube install video. Another thing, this cooler is LOUD. My case is a Thermaltake New Soprano and when using a 212 Evo I couldn't hear a thing. Now, this thing borderline screams at me.

Is this normal for the H60? If not, what can I expect from Corsair's rma process? Thank you for reading.

My H80i for me was really loud coming from a 212 Evo. It was the fans too - all the fan curves in Corsair Link wanted to exceed 1200 RPM under load, and that was when it'd get pretty loud. If you set the fan speeds really low and the pump is really noisy, then yea - you should maybe RMA it. If it's an air bubble it might come out over the course of the next few days (with speeds turned all the ways up on the pump), but no guarantees.

I replaced my H60 with an H80i , just recently i was testing my old H60 on a test bench setup just laid out on my desk and the pump was only loud in certain radiator positions and tube positions. It would make freaky loud noises until I repositioned it. If you can try moving the tubes around or mounting it in a different fan position. Otherwise RMA the thing!
