Newegg has refurbished Corsair H100s on sale today as part of their shell shocker for $55. This seems like a good deal on a solid cooler as long as you're not on the LGA1150 platform.

I'm thinking about picking one up for my Athlon II X6 1090T BE to see if I can squeeze a bit more out of my OC, but I think gains will probably be minimal over my CM Hyper 212 Plus.

Either way, seems like a good deal on an entry level WC system, as long as you're OK with refurb hardware.

Yea, but is that at all unique to the H100? IVB and HW run hot, its going to be the same for all coolers. Since the problem exists between core and IHS, as long as your HSF/WC setup can remove and dissipate heat at an equal rate, the results will be the same. Unless, of course, there is some inherent design limitation with the H100 that would specifically cause it to perform worse on 1150 than on 1155.. which I find extremely unlikely.

Don't see why the H100 would be a problem with Haswell, as quite a few review sites actually use it for their reviews. I am sure they would have mentioned any issues with using it with haswell. Per Intel, the mounting for 1150 is the same as 1155 so almost all 1155 coolers can be reused. Though due to Haswell's greater heat, you may be more limited when overclocking than on a Sandy (but that is the same story for every cooling solution).

Well what about 2011? 2011 socket cpu's have more wattage which would mean more heat... But in the end compared to cpus with tim would they be about the same in temp?

Completely depends on what clocks you run them at and how much voltage is needed.
