So I just got this case to replace a Define R3 due to having no space in the Define to fit Corsair's H110i GTX.

I must say I had a very limited selection of cases at Frys but this one was the best for me and im very satisfied and impressed by the layout, space, capabilities.

I however want to switch all stock fans to Noctua fans but I hate the Noctua colors and it will throw off my setup. I need black fans and I need them to be super silent. Im going for a silent built.

You could use the Noctua Redux fans they are a greyish color or the Industrial fans they are black and while they will have more noise due to higher RPMs you can slow them down.

Bequiet fans are very good and also silent

If you're going with a white and black look newegg has some nice gelid fans with good reviews. I was looking at them for my 750d.

But the standard case fans with your air case are pretty good. I think they are debranded af140s if memory serves (I used to have an air 540 myself)

Yea I saw the redux line but I was looking to go with the quietest possible. Otherwise I would just go with Bequiet ones since they are around the same DBs are the redux but they are all black so they would go perfect

Im actually shooting for a more black theme when it comes to fans. I have an Asus Rampage board and thats the most color I would want.

I've used the corsair SP120 quiet fans. They were very close to silent at low speeds and I used them across the board, not just on the heatsink. You can just pull the color ring off (not sure if that will affect sound) or paint it.

For now I disconnected the front 2 fans and left just the exhaust fan running and its nice and quiet!!

I did the same in mine. It's still not as quiet as I like, but the stock fans are pretty noisy.

My temps didnt go up so im happy.

Anyone tried to use any sound dampening stuff in their case?

I was thinking of buying some to see if I can make it quieter
