Just got it in today. I don't have the other computer equipment in yet...

I need other people with the 620HX to verify to see if they have this missing PIN in the 24ATX plug...

Don't know if the 620HX is supposed to have that pin or not, but I know that my Silencer 750 does not have that pin.. And, everything works fine here.. :D

Weird that it doesn't have a pin. To answer your question I tested the psu in another computer and it works fine. The fan doesn't make really any noise and sounds like a plain old yate loon.

Any reasonably modern motherboard will be fine with that. I'm running an Antec Smartpower 2.0 350 watt unit that also lacks that -5V pin, in conjunction with my older Gigabyte GA-7DXR+ motherboard (AMD 761 chipset, very old), and it works just fine.

I wouldn't use it in an older Socket 7, Slot 1, or Slot A board, though.

while we are talking about the 620hx

i know what the main power plug + the 4 pin power plug are....

whats the 8pin one? its one of the non modular cables

To elaborate a bit; some motherboards/processors accept or sometimes (seldom if ever but it is possible) needs the 12V EPS plug INSTEAD of the 12V 4pin plug. In short ; don't worry...

ahh ok... thanks :) i wasnt worried about it just curious :)
