Anxiously awaiting my new stuff to arrive. I ordered the Corsair unit based on the reviews I had read and it looks amazing powerful. Originally I wanted the OCZ 700 and before that the Aerocool Zero Dba 620. I hope I made a good choice anyone with experience with Corsair just wondering how it is doing for ya and what I should expect from it. I talked to Corsair customer support before ordering it and he said that the 520 was tested with the quad SLI system and it did run very well so I imagine I could add another 8800GTS and run it SLI off this 620 rather easily. Any thoughts?

The 620 can do 8800GTX SLI in many cases, so I think that it will be overkill for your system. It's nice to be on the safe side anyway.

I would buy one again. The first one I had hummed pretty bad. There is still some very slight hum in the replacement but I cannot hear it unless my ear is within about a foot of the PS (Fooling around with cables on the rear of the PC).

I'm torn between the 520hx and 620hx... I had my heart set on the 620, but I know that the 520hx will suffice. The 620HX looks sexier with the red on it... extra 100W... I'm leaning towards the 620.

I really like the red over the yellow will match my GSKILL ram but that's a moot point but I like good looking stuff. I definitely agree that it will be overkill for the rig I am building but in the future I will most certainly add another GTS and most likely an FX-60 when they drop down under 300 bucks (525.00 now) This rig is my get out of Socket A/x850xt Agp hell and into something newer. I know it's not the best but for my budget it is the best I could do and it will be fabulous. Thanks so much for the replies guys and wish you very well.

Good reason to go for overkill in the PSU department, atleast IMO: Generally PSUs are the most effective around 40%-60% load, higher efficiency -especially from an already efficient PSU means (a) less heat and thus (b) less noise as the fan don't spin up that much all other things being equal.

I have this PSU. I have an ASUS P5N32-E SLI 68oi mobo, E6600, 8800GTX, 3 sata hard drives, sata DVD burner, some PCI cards, and three 120MM fans.

To put it simply, this thing kicks serious ass. Most stable PSU I have ever used.

at least if you buy one of these suckers now, itll be future proof you plan on doing a sli setup, i personally have a hx520 and think this sucker already is a beast, but if you got the money then more power to ya.
