corsair 520hx enough?

is the 520hx enough for the rig in my sig? also u think it will be able to power the high end next gen card? and dont say get the 620 cuz my max budget is like 135 shipped.
 
It will do fine for your current system. I cannot say for the next gen card as there isn't even a release date for it.
 
Your system is fine for that psu.... you only have one hard drive.... I bet you can pop in 5 more and it'll be fine.
 
I have a similar system with 4 hard drives, 4 GB RAM, dual opticals running on the 520.
 
Easily be fine. I wouldn't be surprised if you could fit in more hard drives and SLI 8800GTs.
 
the Pc Power and cooling Silencer 610W falls into the same price range with 49amps on the 12V rail. I would incline towards that in every way!!
 
Well, Corsair designed this page to specifically address questions like this. But since we're talking about a non-existent (in the market) next-gen card, its hard to extrapolate the power requirements. It probably won't be too far off than what current high end cards are now.
 
Would it be advisable to get the 620HX for ~$40 more before tax to ensure that you dont run into a power situation when upgrading to the next generation of video cards down the line?
 
Take a look at the Corsair 550watt version a try (better deal at Newegg)

Its plenty for your rig.
 
well 139.19 was my max budget not even a penny over so i decided to go for the 520 and if i need to upgrade again in the summer oh well. i prob wont upgrade till a long time tho cuz my next purchase is a 42 inch plasma for my room and ill be saving a while and 9800s are pointless cuz theres no good games coming out any time soon, all the good ones have relase dates that no one even knows. so when far cry 2 comes close ill start saving but for now the 520/8800gts combo is good enough. and i got some spare money left over for a new water cooling pump.
