Is the 520HX enough for my future buiild? Or would it be wise to spend the money and get the 620 HX?

Q6600, OC'ed to 3ghz+
4 gigs Ballistix PC6400 RAM
4 Sata HDD's
320 Meg 8800 GTS
5 120 mm's fans in my Antec P180
DVD burner

Definitely enough. You could probably even throw in a second 8800 and still be ok.

Don't think so. Dan's machine pulls over 600 watts at the wall under load. Granted, GTX's rather than GTS's and watercooled, but I'm hitting near to 400 under load with a dual core, and you're going to see 80-100 at the wall more for a quad over a dual. The 520HX would probably work, for a while, but it would be running near to 100% capacity all the time. Not good for it at all.

I've ordered the Corsair 520HX and it was shipped today, can't wait to get it, looks like a really well made product. I want to hear just how quiet those Seasonic made PSUs are. :)

I don't think a quad core would add 80-100 more now would it? That seems a little too much just for two more cores.

Assuming 80% efficiency, that'd be about 320 from the PSU for your set up which would be about 50% on a 620HX which would be pretty good (anything 60% and under at load shouldn't wear out too fast, higher than 60 and you start playing with fire imo).

First, HX520 will be more than enough for the rig mentioned in OP.

Second, I just want to add...

This might help give you an idea of what you need.

Don't EVER go by those. If you base a PSU off of "wattage" alone, you may end up with low amperage on the 12v rail which is where the key components draw their power these days.

CPU draw is around 80 watts for a dual core when OC'd. Current quads are just 2 duals in the same package, so they pull 2x+ that of a dual core. So somewhere between 80 and 100 more watts.
