i just bought the corsair 4400 for my ic7-g.. im having lots of trouble for some reason though... i tried running 275 1:1 like the corsair website did just to try.. it didn't post then i tried 270, 265, 260, and then all the way down to 250 before it would even post... i have the timings on 2.5, 8, 4, 4 everything else on auto,, 2.8v on the ram,, on my 2.4c running @ 250... i know its not my chip b/c my old corsair 3200LLPT ran 275@ 5:4 ratio... but now im running memtest @ 250 and was wondering if it might be my motherboard going bad or if the ram itself is bad.. b/c im very upset for paying 280 for a ram taht should be at least getting 265 but its only going 250 not sure if its stable it just posts and i got into windows and everything fine.. havn't really stress tested it out yet...

i know exactly what the problem is. for your memory to run stable at 275, you need at least 2.9v. the IC7 doesnt support any higher vdimm than 2.8. i have a very similar setup, and im only able to get 265 with 2.8v.

oops, nevermind about my last post. i read your thread too fast and assumed it was Geil PC4400.

maybe its your ram timing? try it at 3448.
