corrupted photos on microSD

I have an S4 with a Samsung 32gb microSD. Recently I'm having trouble opening photos from the gallery. I was walking past a Samsung repair shop and the technician thought it should be a failing microSD card. Any way to test this?

Err... plug card into PC via reader, see if you can see them there.

It's about as straightforward as it gets. You can optionally run chkdsk against the mounted sd card.

Plug into PC w/ USB, open computer, rightclick drive, tools tab, under error-checking click check now. If the default settings don't work, then do it again and select "scan for and attempt recovery of bad sectors".
