For some damn reason, My slave which is partitioned into 2 drives, a 30gb and a 130gb. The 30gb which had a massive ammount of important data like mp3s and all my backup programs and is now "corrupted and unreadable" The other partition works perfectly. What the hell is going on.

It was working perfectly fine yesterday. I havnt changed anything. It runs chkdsk and says "corrupted master file table!!!!!!!!" I need help recovering my files badly. What program can I use to do this.

This is the second time its happened actually. It happends to my other slave as well. Luckily it happened to the partition on the other side of the hard drive that had no data.

I use an Epox 9npa+ ultra mobo. Is it unsafe to use a partition or something these days wtf! For some reason, im thinking its the motherboard. If it is the motherboard im gonna take it outside and run it over with my car. Its starting to piss me off though. I need to recover this data. All atempts so far havnt worked. What software do I need?

First of all dont keep using it, take it out of the computer and figure out what your gonna do..if you keep using it it overrights the parts where the data is and since the MFT seems corrupt, the recovery softare wont be able to read it since it was overritten with whatever your doing on it even if your not actually creating files.

You may need to try some recovery software, but I'm not sure on which would be best..Tuneup utilities 2006 has one but idk how it performs compared to other solutions..

Sorry about your corruption, and remember ALWAYS backup! Hope you find some help.
