I was using my comp on Sunday night and it was working fine. I was running Kazaa for awhile (I know, problem is probably related to a virus from Kazaa), then I shut my comp down for the night. When my brother tried to turn it on the next morning, it started the normal boot process then went to a blank screen after the self-test. The blank screen read that the system can not boot up because of a missing or corrupt Windows system 32 file.
It gives me the option to repair it with the system disk but I haven't been able to get it to work. It won't even let me boot in Safe mode, let alone get to a prompt screen anywhere. I'm all out of ideas, and will most likely end up taking it to a local computer store to have them take a look at it.
I am a struggling university student who doesn't enjoy spending unnecessary dollars, so if anyone has an idea how to help me please answer this thread or send an email to "mission_deeps@hotmail.com" with the subject line reading "corrupt file help". This is just so I know where the email came from.
Thanks to anyone who can help.
