Heres the spec of my new system

Windows XP Pro
1GB DDR400
P4 3.0c
P4P800-E DELUXE
ATi Radeon x800 Pro 256MB GDDR3 AGP 8x
... You dont need the rest

Anyways, anything that uses directx (im assuming, could be the same for OpenGL) Causes some corrupt imaging, even teh desktop (desktop image corruption very unnoticable) It just looks like parts are being moved around, it happens in random places and its big or small only happens on moving video from what I noticed. heres a screenshot of farcry, you notice it and it kind of looks like the fishes are missing but thats not it, that is just the random spot it chose. I tryed changing fast writes off and slowing it to AGP 4x and making image quality lower but no dice. Even reinstall drivers form cd drivers to 4.7 to 4.9 beta. Im lost, help! I hope its not the cpu or mobo, could they cause this?

This is the only screenshot i could get of it, and also its a very very small peice of corruption its usually larger. HELP PRO's!

Hi Liquid,

got the same problem. Did you solve your problem in any way?

Greetings, SamC

I'm no expert. :)

That looks like a checkerboard effect. But I don't know if it always looks like that for you. Try the 4.8 drivers if you haven't already, but very rarely is that a solution. This effect is characteristic of bad pipelines, overheating, or a bad card.

Hi Maxx,

i tried from 4.5 (boxed) to 4.8.

I don't have the problem in every game. Joint OPs, UT2k4, Gotcha! for example ther are no curruptions.

greets SamC

okay guys,

i returned my card, got a new and now everything is ok. It was definetly the hardware.

greets, SamC
