Corporate Cloud AV?

I haven't used Symantec for AV since 2006 and recently got an email for their Endpoint AV Cloud solution and I'm somewhat interested in the product or something similar. Right now we're using Sophos with their Enterprise Console to manage servers and workstations in our environment. Big wigs want to start "minimizing infrastructure and utilize cloud products"

Does anyone have any experience with and cloud AV products? I actually think having the endpoints communicate with a managed server from a vendor is a cool idea and have no issues "giving up" a VM for a cloud managed option.

I've played around a little with Trend Micro's Officescan cloud version (10.6). You either install the cloud version, called smart scan or something, or the normal product. The cloud endpoint is very thin. Their normal endpoint is slow. Otherwise it's a decent product but I like Kaspersky better, just can't afford it.
