Corona beer case mod.. best beer ever mod?!!

So for this my first time true case creation/mod. I figured why not take something thats been really good to me over the years. So i thought hey a corona case should be in the works. I had a few crazy ideas when development of the idea came around
and trust me
i heard em all
"So what?" "Why not another beer .. Corona suck" -( those people are no longer my friends by the way...jk) :p "Will is have a beer dispenser?" "Will there be a beer tap in that thing?"

and on and on..
but no i decided no to just cut a few things out and make it a modded case
but i decided to go different .. like alot of other people here..
i decided to start from scratch....truly build my own case...
So hopefully i can post as much as i can . .. and maybe also get some help
anyways.. here we go
 
you should build it into the bottom of a refridgerator with a glass door stocked with corona, but have the computer itself isolated and insulated to avoid condensation.
 
Just an idea. How about using a regular case and just make the front upside down. With all the drives in the bottom. Then mold a corona bottle in the front. And make the wide part of the bottle (the bottom) like a hinged door that you open to access the drives? And then paint the rest like a half-full glass container of beer and make a corona label on the side.

Just my idea. Post some pics when you get started!

I know regular ATX wont really fit...obviously
but i am looking forward to Micro-ATX
but not sure where i could get some real specs on these board.. if anyone would care to PM me.. thanks
 
Dos equis is better (so is Pacifico) as is the Gallo from Guatemala which has a great big red roaster on it.

But at least it isn't American beer . . .

The sad part is, no one will know that it is the corona dragon, Unless you plasted corona all over it. To me it just looks like a regular dragon/wolf howling
 
Hey .. yeah ill post a better pick sometime soon. fix up the model .. or what not.. but i hope you guys get a kick out of it..
and yes it is the dragon thing... not a wolf ..
 
It's a Gryphon, actually, and I agree that people probably won't get it unless you put "Corona" on it somewhere.

If you can make it look like it does in that rendering, it won't really matter, since it'll kick ass anyhow, but if you want people to realize it's a Corona theme, you'll have to do something else to it.

Big mistake I found.. when cutting out the sizes. I found out there was not going to be sufficient space to place a Micro ATX board in this layout. (big goof!)
So as it turns out i had to reprint my size by 2.25xtimes...
so now there should be plenty of space . lol..

Cut out of wood tail pieces ..They will be used in order to get the form .. of the metal that curves in between the pieces..

Must say great beer, and looks like it will be a kick ass mod look forward to seeing it progress

There's a reason they export Corona to the States, and it's not because they love it and want to share it with their northerly neighbors. Cool mod though.
 
sorry ive been pretty sick havent been able to do much.. but i will be back .. currently getting materials to shape my metal.. seems ima have to go with some bags of sand and some metal shaping hammers...i knew this from the beginning but thought i could get away with it... cus this aint cutting it

and not just that.. this was a piece of 1/8"aluminum so not bad considering im using thinner sheet metal.. although it wont be [H] unless i get a grade A project so im leaning toward using an english wheel and a power hammer.. the industrial kind.. but for now .. i guess the bag and shaping hammer will have to do..
 
Sorry for not having posted in a while guys..
my dremel broke down a while back.. and so is my car (currently breaking down)
so it looks like ima have two new things pretty soon... but anyways..
in the meantime i will fix these pics as they have been taken off the site who was hosting them,,
and well i have been currently working on a halo 1 bash to take part in mid august..
look at the work that gone into this.. .Yes .. thats right Custom Halo 1 championship belts.. (ala wrestling type )

I am picking up this project up again jsut to let you guys know. Been away for some time. Working on other stuff and in need of a second computer to get me some real 3d models up and running. I will have some comp parts back in.
