ive gotten bored with normal boxy pc, and i sont want to have to spend alot of money on getting a unique case.

instead i was thinking about getting a slab of cork board, or any other type of light weight wood/metal and screwing the motherboard and all of the parts and hanging this PC on the wall.
but before i go ahead and potentialy destroy my PC/corkboard/my pride, i need to know if its possible, if it will work and any potential problems.
 
I would put a backing behind the cork board and screw everything into that, cause I wouldn't trust cork to hold my PC up. It might look cool though, if you covered all the screws with thumbtacks to make it look like all the parts were tacked up. Maybe put them at odd angles too.
 
i am going to put EVERYTHING on this corkboard, PSU, the GFX card is going to be hanging out off the mobo, Hard Drive and DVD drive screwed so they are both facing upwards, i need another material that will be able to hold all of this and still be light enough to had off of a wall.
 
Walls can take alot of weight, as long as you go into a stud :D
I would put it all on some decently sized sheet steel. You might need to rig up something else to support the video card, depending on how heavy it is. I definitely wouldn't trust just the agp or pci-e slot to support a card with a decent sized cooler on it.
 
the gfx card is a fairly light 9250SE, its got a heatsink, i was thinking about punching a hold into the wood/steel backing and then make some sort of little holder, similar to the 1's found in a normal PC case. unfortuanatly my walla are made of Plaster and its very hard to find the right place to hang this thing, bacause the beams are rather hard to precisly find.
